Meet the Maker- Kerri from Little Orange Tent

Hi! I'm Kerri (Anne). I'm a Northwest native and self-taught artist making art for wild places from McCall, where I live, write, direct fundraising trail races, and work as a nonprofit manager. All of my art is hand-drawn/painted, and inspired by my favorite wild places, my favorite books about wild places, and by the amazing species that inhabit this big, beautiful planet—from the forests, deserts, grasslands, and high-alpine mountains to the vast oceans. Meet the Maker- Neatline Designs

Neatline Designs is a graphics and illustration experimentation that was born from staff meeting doodles. I am a middle school art teacher and mixed media artist with a focus on radial designs and environmental issues. In my intricate mandala designs I explore the experiences and feelings I encounter while exploring the world. The designs are inspired by observations in wild spaces and a sense of place. The patterns capture the simple, organic, and geometric lines of the natural world. Surrounded by endless inspiration I am constantly growing and evolving my artistic practice. I have been reproducing and selling my artwork...

Historic references, ties to other works, and an understanding of why art can be so powerful has inspired my desire to always explore deeper meaning in how, what and why I create. With inspiration all around,...

Meet the Maker- Lisa McGrath and Paul Carew of Wear Boise!

Meet the Maker- Lisa McGrath and Paul Carew of Wear Boise!

My husband, Paul, and I launched Wear Boise out of a downtown one-bedroom apartment one week before eloping in Lake Tahoe (not recommended, BTW). By profession, I am a corporate/tech lawyer and Paul owns a design/advertising firm. Wear Boise is our love letter to Boise and Idaho. Our tagline, "Wear Your Where," is because our designs are more about the message — they are for Idahoans, by Idahoans. Our customers consistently tell us they get stopped on a sidewalk with a "Boy-See" shirt (the correct pronunciation for Boise), an "Idaho Beard" shirt (for the bearded), an "Idaho/Iowa/Ohio" shirt (because everyone thinks we're...
