Meet the Maker- Lisa McGrath and Paul Carew of Wear Boise!

My husband, Paul, and I launched Wear Boise out of a downtown one-bedroom apartment one week before eloping in Lake Tahoe (not recommended, BTW). By profession, I am a corporate/tech lawyer and Paul owns a design/advertising firm. Wear Boise is our love letter to Boise and Idaho.
Our tagline, "Wear Your Where," is because our designs are more about the message — they are for Idahoans, by Idahoans. Our customers consistently tell us they get stopped on a sidewalk with a "Boy-See" shirt (the correct pronunciation for Boise), an "Idaho Beard" shirt (for the bearded), an "Idaho/Iowa/Ohio" shirt (because everyone thinks we're is in the midwest), or a "Boise Nice" shirt (because, well, you know). Everyone has a personal story, our designs start conversations, and that's what connects.
In 2015, a year after launching our e-commerce store, we opened a brick-and-mortar shop on Idaho Street in downtown Boise and handle everything from concept to design to printing. We regularly partner with community events ranging from Twilight Criterium to Savor Idaho, and local companies and organizations, to handle original merchandise design and distribution.
When we're not sketching on the back of bar napkins or trying to keep up with our day jobs, we can be found skiing (Lisa) and boarding (Paul), spoiling our cats, and eating all the Basque food.
